The mobile thin client

The MTC 6 is a slim terminal that can handle the requirements of logistics and significantly increases efficiency with its new features. It is the ideal industry computer for daily tasks in logistics in the distribution center, port, or warehouse, and even in the deep-freeze warehouse.

The MTC 6 is the latest DLoG development. This industry computer is equipped with new features that augment efficiency in logistics and increase safety. By default, the MTC 6 is equipped with a Diversity antenna for WLAN.

WLAN Diversity antennas

These provide "true" space diversity, that is, there are two spatially separated WLAN antennas integrated. Space diversity offers the advantage that - particularly in demanding environments - the data connection remains safe and reliable, even in fast roaming situations. Demanding environments can include:
Warehouses and the storage area itself, due to the goods (barrels, metals, packaging, containers, cranes, etc.), due to the structure (complex shelf distribution, steel beams in ceilings, steel doors, etc.), due to the infrastructure ("too many" or "too few" access points for a given situation, historically grown infrastructure - old and new technologies, etc.)
The continually changing situation due to the movement of goods (goods are moved, shelves are empty, half-full, or fully utilized, goods are in temporary areas) is another challenge for reliable WLAN communication.
The movement that fork lift trucks or other cargo handling vehicles do are a natural necessity in a warehouse, but at the same time they represent an additional task for data communication.  Our Diversity antennas are custom-designed for the terminal. This is how we ensure that the client is a tool that increases efficiency, minimizes the error rate, and efficiently supports processes.

Protection class IP 66 / 67

Especially in an demanding environment like port and container handling, IP protection classes is an absolute must. The DLoG MTC 6 is certified for IP 66 and IP 67. This feature also was verified and certified by an independent lab.

DLoG Voice Kit

Fast communication is the basis for reliable, error-free performance in efficient processes like goods movement. The DLoG Voice Kit lends support. Equipped with a handset microphone that connects easily to the terminal, it makes it simple for employees to communicate, whether to coordinate individual work steps more easily, to ask quickly in unexpected situations, or even to get support easily and quickly in case of error.
The advantages of the voice kit are obvious: No additional equipment must be purchased or maintained, like walky-talkies. The infrastructure for this is already there (WLAN) and the MTC 6 already provides the voice support needed.

Integrated speakers

The standard built-in speakers support acoustic-coupled confirmation during picking tasks. Both confirmation from the system (confirmed, error, etc.) as a beep, but also audio-oriented signals are supported by the built-in speakers.
The IP protection of the overall system is preserved.
When using the DLoG voice kit, either the speakers built into the MTC 6 can be used or the speaker in the handset.

LED display

As one of the first manufacturers of industrial PCs, we equip the 10" MTC 6 with a standard LED display. This new display technology provides the advantages of better legibility of content, better contrast, and longer service life.

WLAN Standard 802.11n

The MTC 6 supports the new WLAN "n" standard as a standard feature, in addition to current standards a/b/g. The advantage of this standard - an increase in transmission rates - can already be used with the MTC 6 now or in the future.

Higher service-ability

• The MTC 6 brings new features that make it very easy to integrate the industrial PC into everyday administration.
  DLoG config tool: This administration software by DLoG supports the setup of the terminal and the performance of "small everyday tasks" such as configuring the automatic switch-off, setting up the WLAN configuration, optionally displaying these configurations for the user, running queries on system properties and status, and so on.
• Service USB: Both when setting up the system and in everyday work, the system's USB interface is accessible quickly and with just a few hand movements. This would appear to be in conflict with the IP protection of the overall system. We have built in an extremely efficient solution to get to a USB interface (the DLoG service USB) quickly and easily.
• Cable cover concept Independent laboratories continually certify that DLoG industrial PCs have what our data sheets promise. That applies to their IP protection, too. The protection applies to the overall system, from whichever direction the moisture (rain, cleaners, spilled drinks, etc.) or contamination (dust, small objects, ashes, etc.) contact the computer - its IP protection is guaranteed. Its direction of installation is also arbitrary, with no need to worry about IP protection. This concept is consistently implemented, for example by the DLoG cable cover protecting the I/O ports. The concept has been completely reworked, so mounting the cover is simpler, supporting efficiency in your processes.

Flatter design

The MTC has a flatter shape than, for example, its "big brother" the MPC 6. This pays off in installation situations where a large 10" display is needed but space is still restricted.

Our housing design makes the operation of our industrial PCs reliable even at extreme temperatures. Whether low temperatures in the freezer area or high temperatures outdoors or in production. Fast temperature changes - such as when a vehicle moves from outdoor sun into the freezer - were particularly considered during development; even under these harsh environmental conditions, our PCs support your processes safely and reliably.
