TREK-743 vehicle mounted terminal for fleet management
Whoever is responsible for operating a fleet of vehicles must be able to manage their vehicles in the best possible way. This applies to location determination and route planning as well as the secure transmission of data. For these tasks, the TREK-743 vehicle terminal integrates the following features:
The TREK-743 is built to function within a large range of operating temperatures and to easily withstand impacts and shocks.

Fleet Tracking Terminal with GPS, A-GPS and dead reckoning
The GPS module that is integrated in the TREK-743 ensures extremely fast position determination thanks to the unit's simultaneous connection to as many as 50 satellites.
One common problem in managing fleets of vehicles is the precision of the location data. The precision is highly dependent on the technology used for position determination.
We work with one of the leading chip makers specializing in A-GPS and location determination with dead reckoning.
This means that our solutions can also be used in areas with limited satellite reception and offer optimum signal sensitivity and good connectivity.

Fleet Tracking Terminal TREK-743: Enhanced WWAN support
To ensure efficient and reliable fleet management it is important to build in a high-quality WWAN solution. Advantech-DLoG solutions are based on the modules of one of the market leaders in the industrial M2M environment. These offer optimal integration of the computer and the antennae - irrespective of whether the antennae are positioned directly on the computer or must be mounted separately because of environmental factors.
WLAN solutions for Fleet Management
Advantech-DLoG WLAN solutions have the edge with their optimized radiation pattern and outstanding mechanical robustness.
Our WLAN services include the following elements:

CAN bus for Fleet Management
The CAN bus interface built into the TREK-743 offers direct linking into the vehicle network. This enables access to a wide range of vehicle data and events, such as fuel consumption, speed, engine data etc. This data can be gathered within the fleet management system and processed and/or displayed according to individual requirements. By then processing this gathered data for a specific purpose (e.g. for driver training) it is possible to significantly reduce running costs, such as by cutting fuel consumption, reducing maintenance costs and even lowering the number of accidents and thus the cost of insurance.
TREK-743: Bluetooth Class 2 technology
For the wireless transmission over short distances (up to 10 m) between the TREK-743 and peripheral devices, the TREK-743 is equipped with Bluetooth class 2 technology.
