Roaming Behavior; through DLoG optimization of the decision parameters, roaming is enabled that is concluded clearly and more rapidly.
Optimization of the decision parameters by our DLoG expert team enables roaming that is executed clearly and fast.
If a value falls below a defined SNR value, the WLAN industrial computer begins to search for other access points on all active channels.
After falling below the minimum SNR limit, "roaming" begins. The signal profile at the terminal is identified with blue arrows (see picture).
If no access point is found to which roaming is available, the status "out of range threshold" is reached; the terminal begins to scan on all channels in the band, the scan time increases accordingly.
The processes shown here in the picture pertain to the decision of when and how a roaming procedure is carried out. Through DLoG optimization of the decision parameters, roaming is enabled that is concluded clearly and more rapidly. In addition, the response time is measured. The response time is made up of the decision time and the switch-over time. Directly influenced at the terminal is the decision time; what remains partially influenceable is the authentification time and the signal duration in the network.
